What should players wear?

We play outdoors so it is important players wear weather appropriate attire.

We recommend layers so anyone attending can be comfortable throughout the sessions.

T-shirt, Hoodie, leggings, trainers.

For safety reasons footwear is trainers only. Players without trainers can unfortunately not participate.

Some sports brands provide specific netball trainers for added ankle support which are recommended but not essential.

I'd love to play but trainers are just so expensive...

You can obtain free second hand trainers in good condition from "The Trainer Exchange" where you can also donate any outgrown trainers.

Can players wear  jewellery during sessions?

No, to minimise risk of injury to all involved we are, as per England Netball guidelines,  a strictly no jewellery club.

This includes all piercings, rings, watches, festival armbands etc.

Exemptions can be made on a case to case basis (ie allergy bracelets) but these will need to be taped off

I'm a player and I've just had my nails done -  can I still play?

It depends on the length of your nails. We love pretty nails and colours, however in order to train and play safely,  nails must be kept short and not protrude over the finger. As per England Netball guidance, long nails are not permitted at training or play for safety reasons/ injury risk.

Can siblings use the Adventure Playground while the sessions are on ?

During Wolves sessions siblings may use the adventure playground, however must be kept under constant supervision and remain under the responsibility of their attending parent or guardian at all times.

During Foxes sessions we unfortunately cannot provide playground use during our netball sessions, however there is a lovely playground within 5 minutes on Gainsborough square.

Do I need to affiliate with England Netball to play with you?

You only ned to affiliate with England Netball if you are a league playing member of the Lockleaze Foxes

OR

If you are undertaking any EN courses through Lockleaze Foxes.

What can I expect from a Minis and Bee-Netball session?

Our Mini sessions are high energy  netball sessions, filled with fun and  designed to teach the fundamentals of netball utilising lots of mini games. We also really want children to experience the wonderfulness of being part of a team and to teach them to take ownership of their teams, - you will see lots of team huddles, lots of excitement,  some team discussions, but most importantly :lots of fun and smiley faces!
